Ed and Bettty-Margaret Grier own and operate "The Nest" an antique shop and "The Moses Table Company", where we produce the finest quality tables with our unique finsh.  The Grier family has been in the furniture business for generations. Starting with Ed's grandfather, a cabinetmaker, at "Beck's Woodwork Shop", the family business.  Ed's father, started Grier Antiques in downtown Birmingham. Ed began working in the shop with his father at the age of 15. As they established buying connections in New York, they would make several trips a year to hand pick beautiful furniture. Years later, Ed opened Peck and Hills and Betty Margaret started her shop, Antiques and Gardens. Both have successfully chosen the finest antiques and highest quality furniture to showcase in their stores. It only made sense that they would begin building custom furniture.
